Day 1
DUBROVNIK
Upon arrival at Dubrovnik Airport, transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight. (D)
Day 2
DUBROVNIK
There is a walking tour of “Old Dubrovnik” this morning; the Rector’s Palace, Bell Tower Clock, Orlando’s Column and the Sponza Palace. You will also see the Dominican Monastery and Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy, one of the oldest in the world. The rest of the day is at leisure. (B)
Day 3
DUBROVNIK – SPLIT
Depart from Dubrovnik to Split with a stop in Makarska. Rest of the day at leisure and overnight in Split. (B)
Day 4
SPLIT – TROGIR – ZADAR
Enjoy a city tour featuring the historic inner city, built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. See the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle and the Cathedral. Depart for Trogir, a picturesque mediaeval town where we visit the Cathedral of St. Lawrence. Continue to Zadar, dinner and overnight. (B,D)
Day 5
ZADAR – ZAGREB
Morning tour of Zadar, including the Roman Forum and St. Donat Church, a magnificent monument of Romanesque architecture. Afternoon departure for Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Dinner and overnight in Zagreb. (B,D)
Day 6
ZAGREB - PLITVICE
Enjoy a city tour featuring the historic Upper Town, St. Mark’s Church, St. Catherine’s Church, the Cathedral, the Parliament and the Government Palace. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the winding streets of the old town. Afternoon departure for Plitvice, dinner and overnight. (B,D)
Day 7
PLITVICE
After breakfast, we tour Plitvice Lakes National Park on UNESCO’s List of World Natural Heritage. Sixteen lakes, each at a different level, are connected in a series of cascading waterfalls. Surrounded by dense wood, Plitvice Lakes are a natural phenomenon of a rare and unique beauty. Dinner and overnight in Plitvice. (B,D)
Day 8
PLITVICE – TRILJ – DUBROVNIK
Morning departure for Dubrovnik, driving via Trilj and along the Cetina River valley. Overnight in Dubrovnik. (B)
Day 9
DUBROVNIK
After breakfast, the tour ends with transfer to Dubrovnik Airport. (B)
